Trucking along

I want to applogize for not blogging much lately...back in late January I got a part-time job.  It has turned into more like a full timeish job now!  I am working nights trying to save up money to fix my husbands car and we are going on a big family trip starting in June...extra spending money is aways nice.

Families who have two working parents who are on two different shifts how do you do it for long?  I have only been at this for a month and a half and I can tell it is taking a toll on the family.  I keep reminding myself and them that its only until June...its only until June!  I dont want to sound like a cry baby but it stinks not being able to spend evenings and weekends with my family.

Here is what I am using as my motovation to keep trucking along!

1. We are going to Disney World for a week!  I can not wait...it is going to be so much fun!!

2. My husband I are renting this beach house for a week...and it gets better...with no kids!!

3. We are going to be spending a few days in our soon to be new place for residence.

4. Going to be visiting family...this is my mom!

This is Josh's dad and Jackson (he was only two). We are going to be splitting the rest of the time with both families.
My hats off to families who have two working parents on different shifts...it stinks!

  2. It does stink not being able to be with your family at night and on weekends. I go to school at night so I have to miss out on family time too. But, it looks like you have some awesome trips to look forward too! We were planning a June trip to Disney World and to rent a beach house back home but we found out my husband is going to deploy at the end of may.. I guess there's always next year for us. :) Just keep on truckin', it'll be worth it in the end! :)

  4. Love the new look of the blog. I have family that lives in Valdosta. Have a wonderful time at Disney! Sometimes it is great to be able to get away and replenish what keeps us sane. Sounds like you will be enjoying one of the best combos...loving family and NO kids! :) It can be extremely hard not being able to spend time with the ones you love. I work full time, take 3 school classes, and raise my six children. Just remember that in times like this you learn what your true values are and learn to appreciate them more. Keep it up, stay strong!

  5. What a great thing to work towards! I can understand being super busy. I don't even have kids yet, so I think you are very impressive, I'm not sure how you do it all!
